Welcome To A Caring Touch By Tai

I'm constantly on the prowl for massage and health related sites that I think might be of interest to my clients.

American Massage Therapist Association

AMTA is the leading professional society of massage therapists. I've been a member of AMTA since graduating from Massage Therapy School in 2004.

National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork

The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) is an independent, private, nonprofit organization that was founded in 1992 to establish a certification program and uphold a national standard of excellence.

I have been a certified member of NCBTMB since 2004. I strongly support the overall NCBTMB certification program.

NCBTMB's program is made up of a number of components: eligibility, examination, Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, continuing
education and recertification.

To become nationally certified, practitioners must:

  • Complete a minimum of 500 hours of instruction
  • Demonstrate mastery of core skills, abilities and knowledge
  • Pass a standardized NCBTMB exam
  • Uphold NCBTMB's Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
